At St. Paul Children's Center, we recognize that each child develops at his/her own pace.  However; there are specific developmental milestones that our teachers are trained to observe.  Teachers in each classroom complete observation-based assessments three times annually.  These assessments are shared with families and individual lesson plans are developed based on the results of the assessments.  If we have concerns about a child's development, we meet with families to collaborate and figure out how we can best accomodate his/her individual needs.  We thought it was important to include information about developmental milestones, and developmental screenings on our site.  We have also included links to reputable sites that provide more information about child development as well as exceptional children.
